    GREAT SHOW!

My wife got tickets for my birthday - we usually disagree in our tastes in comedy, but Colin hits home for both of us.

We were huge TOUGH CROWD fans and watched nightly.  It's cancellation prompted us to write our first letters ever to a network, pleading the show's return.

Last night was my first chance to see Colin live and it was better than I had expected (and my expectations were high).   Colin's delivery was dead-on and the material grade A.  Smart, edgy, but with tons of heart.  He never takes the easy joke and even his nasty material has a touch of poetry to it.  His details crack me up - describing Austrialia: "You know, that little part on the bottom of the planet that always gets dust on it."

If you have the chance to see him and you haven't before, don't miss it.

    Best wishes,
    Mike N.

I was at this show too.  I was also a big Tough Crowd fan and wrote to CC about the cancellation.  My girlfriend wasn't a big fan of Colin from SNL and Tough Crowd or his NBC show, but she went anyway and liked it.

I agree - The material was great.

I was annoyed by the woman who kept yelling "CoLIN!" - the one who questioned him on 1991.  (Sorry if that's your wife)

    Say Mike,

Dumb question, but was that your birthday cake that was brought out?  I sang along with the happy birthday song!

Roy - Thank God that was not my wife!  She was truly annoying.   Colin handled her well though.

Mike - Nope - that wasn't my birthday cake.  I saw that too.  I was sitting in the row ahead of them.  I think that was for a girl.  Not a dumb question, btw.
